Welcome to Park Place Hotel
Park Place Hotel stands as a charming emblem of Boston’s rich history coupled with modern refreshment. Nestled at 50 Park Plaza, this hotel offers guests a genuine taste of the city’s vibrant pulse. Established in the 1920s, its architecture and ambiance whisper stories of a bygone era, yet thoughtful renovations have ensured it meets contemporary expectations.
The hotel holds a solid 4.2-star rating, reflecting a blend of its vintage character and attentive service. Guests frequently praise the accommodating and pleasant staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances every stay. Although rooms are more modest in size compared to newer chain hotels, they exude a cozy warmth that suits both business travelers and leisure seekers alike.
Location is one of Park Place Hotel’s strongest assets. Just a block from Boston Commons and the subway, it provides effortless access to the city’s cultural heartbeat and conveniences such as Trader Joe's, located a mere three blocks away. This prime positioning invites guests to explore historic neighborhoods, including nearby Chinatown, adding layers to their urban experience.
For business visitors, the hotel’s amenities cater nicely to professional needs, blending functionality with comfort. Meanwhile, food and drink offerings within the hotel, though somewhat pricey, receive high marks, notably for their cocktails—guests have dubbed the mojito here among the best beyond St. Augustine.
What stands out about Park Place Hotel is its balance: a gracefully aged establishment that embraces its past while catering to present-day travelers. It may not offer expansive suites or proximity to every convention center, but it delivers a distinctive, heartfelt Boston stay. It calls upon guests to savor the city’s charm just beyond its doors and appreciate a hospitality experience shaped by decades of history.

I enjoyed the hotel on my 10 day visit. The rooms are not as large as many chain hotels. That is to be expected considering the hotel was built in the 1920s. Boston Commons one block away, subway is one block and Trader Joe's is 3 blocks. I would suggest you bring your own refreshments and snacks to avoid the outlandish prices charged by the hotel. Several eating establishments including sea food, Irish, Starbucks and Cheers are near by.
Very nice older hotel that has been renovated. Staff is very pleasan and accomodating. Meals are pricey. Best Mojito I have had since St. Augustine! It is NOT close to convention center but is close to Boston's China town.
Great experience. While I was here for only a business conference, the three days I was onsite were very accommodating. I would like to stay at this hotel in the future.
